Our Milk

Does Smith Brothers milk contain artificial growth hormones?

We can guarantee that none of our cows have been treated with artificial growth hormone (rbST). In addition, we guarantee our cows are not given any animal bi-products.

Are we Smith Brothers milk?

We are a separate company independent of Smith Brothers milk. If you have questions about your service or products – Smith Brothers in Seattle will not be able to answer them for you. You will need to call us directly.

Is it true that milk exposed to light can lose nutrition?

Yes, scientific studies have shown that when milk is exposed to light, it can destroy most of the milks’ vitamin C and over half of the riboflavin. This includes both natural and artificial light. We take care to keep your milk from being exposed to light. (Study by Cornell University, College of Agriculture and Life Science.)

When will my milk be delivered?

Your milk will be delivered on a set day each week – determined by your neighborhood – on a weekly basis. Deliveries are made between 2AM – 8AM. You can set out your own cooler to have your milk delivered in (no charge) or purchase a milk box (one time charge – to be delivered on your first delivery).

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, we do ask that you order two gallons or more. If you do not need this much milk each week, we can allow you to substitute a loaf of Dave’s Killer Bread or eggs for a half gallon for each product ordered. We do not delivery every other week at this time.

What is a “standing order” and how do I change it?

Your standing order is the amount of product you would like to have delivered to you on a weekly basis. You can change your standing order by logging into your account, sending us an e-mail, or by calling us at (509) 724-0120. Order change deadlines are 6PM the night before your delivery if you change your order online or 4:30PM the day before your delivery if you call or e-mail.

What if I go on vacation or don’t need a delivery?

You can give us a call or send us an e-mail up to 4:30pm the day before your delivery. We can suspend your delivery as long as you need us too.

How will I be billed?

We bill weekly. We can automatically deduct your bill from your checking account.

How Does our customer Service Work?

When you receive delivery from us you have rights! If we can’t answer your call/e-mail live we promise to contact you back within 24 hours or the next business day. You also have the right to have the owner’s numbers so you can contact them directly 24/7. We know that customer service is as important as the products we deliver.
